Robert Roy — Artist Biography
Born in Sainte-Perpétue, Quebec, in 1957, Robert Roy discovered his passion for painting at the age of 18. What began as a hobby soon evolved into a lifelong artistic journey, as he devoted himself to mastering color, technique, and artistic expression.
His travels through more than fifty major cities around the world—from Vancouver and New York to Sydney and Honolulu—profoundly influenced his artistic vision. Exploring the Americas, Europe, Australia, and Asia, Roy developed a deep appreciation for the vibrant diversity of human experiences, cultures, and urban landscapes.

Following formal training at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, Roy refined his distinctive expressionist style. His dynamic paintings capture movement, energy, and everyday street scenes through bold colors and raw emotion.
At the heart of Roy’s artistic philosophy is a simple belief: painting should be a joyful experience, and that joy should be generously shared with others. His work invites viewers to experience the world through his eyes, emotions, and unique artistic perspective.
